By its completion, Quartermile will provide in excess of 100,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space. Already the development is home to Starbucks, Sainsbury and the boutique café/bakery Peter’s Yard.

Edinburgh offers a cosmopolitan and European style retail offering.

Princes Street and George Street extending for nearly a mile each, these two streets offer designer stores and include all the main high street brands.

Princes Street is Edinburgh’s principal street and uniquely for a capital city, the street is one-sided.

George Street and Multrees Walk (just off St Andrew Square) comprise of shops offering high-end designer brands. Independent shops are concentrated in the Old Town, mainly on Cockburn Street, the Grassmarket and Victoria Street.

Across the city region there are a number of retail malls offering a mixture of high street brands, bespoke outlets, restaurants, bars and entertainment options.
